Slender and aesthetic bridges

Very slender and aesthetic bridges with minimal visual impact on the environment enhance a sustainable environment.

Optimal combination of high tensile strength

Concrete with high compressive strength and high tensile strength is an ideal combination.

High durability

Due to a restriction on crack width, these decks have higher durability than regular reinforced concrete decks.

The low dead weight of the superstructure

The low dead weight of the superstructure results in lower vertical loads, horizontal loads and seismic loads. It enables direct cost benefit on overall substructure cost and bears the cost burden

Repainting cycle for over 30 years

A high-performance coating system provides low maintenance with a repainting cycle of over 30 years..

Stay in place metal deck, no shuttering is required

Due to innovative erection methods and concreting (with a stay-in-place metal deck, no shuttering is required), composite bridges are often used for bridges over passing existing railways or highways without any restrictions on traffic.

Shorter erection time

Where existing freeways with two lanes are widened, the short erection time of composite bridges avoids long-term restrictions for traffic closure.

Cost saving results

Due to lower construction depth, cost-saving results from reduced length of approaches on either side of abutments..

Weathering steel paints

Weathering steel paint can help lower the direct cost by eliminating future painting requirements. It reduces maintenance costs too.

Technical Properties

Many different types of structural systems are used in bridges depending on the span, carriageway width and types of traffic. In terms of the primary load-carrying system, the classification is as follows:

Girder Bridges – Flexure or bending between vertical supports is the main structural action of this type. In addition to solid web girders and truss girders, box girder bridges are also possible with girders. Plate girder bridges are preferred for easily supported spans less than 50 m and box girders for continuous spans up to 250 m.

Truss bridges are suitable for lengths that range from 30 m to 375 m. Cantilever bridges have successfully supported main spans of 300 m to 550m.
